As a consumed food and drink that uses a person, animal, or group usually takes and many birds live on a diet of insects. So diet means the kind and amount of food selected for a person or animal for a special reason as improving health  as well as improving mind.
 
Diet refers to the total amount of food consumed by individuals; whereas nutrition is the process of amount  food for growth, metabolism and repair of tissues in our body health.
